GOVERNMENT HOUSE,

HONGKONG. 1st April, 1924.

With reference to the Duke of Devonshire's Circular despatches of the 18th of April and 26th of May, 1923, I have the honour to state that enquiries have been received through the Chamber of Commerce and otherwise with regard to the establishment of a wireless broadcasting station in Hongkong, and I should be glad to learn whether there is now any objection to this Government entering into negotiations for the provision of such a station, on the understanding that the terms of any agreement would be submitted for your consideration and approval before adoption.

I shall also be glad if this Government may

be supplied with copies of recent broadcasting agreements and forms of licence.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

!

Your most obedient humble servant,
